The Caterpillar program is designed exclusively for children 1 year - 2.6 years of age.  Our little Caterpillars love to play in the "funyard" adjacent to the Cottage building.  Communication comes to you on a DAILY basis from our experienced staff who write you personalized "Caterpillar Chatter" notes. Half Day School  is offered for children 2 - 5 years of age.  Children may attend 2  half days (two-year-olds only), 3 half days or 5 half days per week. Hours are 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.  A Lunch Bunch option is offered for an additional hour which provides more social time for the students with each other and their teachers AND gives Parents more time to do what they need to do.  Ending time for half day Lunch Bunch is 1:00 P.M. Full Day School is offered for children 1 year old through Kindergarten.  Parents may bring their children anytime between the hours of 7am and 6 pm.  We offer a comprehensive curriculum based on the BP belief that children learn "best"  that which they learn with "pleasure".  The learning materials that fill each classroom are plentiful and the classrooms change with all the new units the children are studying. Junior Kindergarten is for the child who just misses the Kindergarten cut-off. Students in this program generally turn 5 June through October of the school year. It is offered either full day (any hours between 7 am and 6 pm) or half day mornings Mon.-Fri. with a "Lunch Bunch" option). This program is an advanced curriculum. Many of these students have already completed the BP 4-year-old curriculum or another pre-kindergarten program. The Breezy Point Private Academic Kindergarten is open to students who are 5.0 by September 1st of that school year.  Reading is taught using the"SUPERKIDS" program. This is a balanced literacy curriculum which helps to make reading and writing meaningful.   Mathematics is taught with the help of the Pearson enVision Math Program. This program uses "hands-on" manipulatives and encourages cooperative learning.  Breezy Point Kindergarten offers a low teacher to student ratio of 1:10. Breezy Point's Before and After School Club (B/A Club) is offered to students in (GRADES 1-6) at Holland, Hillcrest, and Rolling Hills Elementary Schools.The B/A Club is staffed by Breezy Point Day School teachers and is located on seven  acres of rolling countryside. Transportation is provided to and from the Elementary Schools via school bus. The A.M. session opens at 7:00 A.M. and ends with transportation to elementary school.  The P.M. session begins with transportation from the elementary schools and ends at 6:00 P.M.  B/A Clubbers enjoy learning materials and games of all sorts in the AM.  Afternoon enrichment activities include: Help with Homework, Snack
and many active and fun activities including performing two shows during the school year.

Breezy Point Teachers hold Masters, BS and Associates degrees in Early Childhood Education and many years of experience. Many staff hold CDA credentials.  We have a thorough ongoing Professional Development Program which includes CPR and First Aid, FireSafety and Child Development. The majority of teachers have been at Breezy Point over ten years with a good many of them reaching the 20 and several the 30 year mark.  Breezy Point is like a family.  Most teachers have had at least one of their children attend BP and some have their grandchildren attending now.
